Not what I'd consider a way to advertise the interracial dating in Seattle. Trust me, the women in Seattle who have anything going on for themselves, aren't looking for black men. They're generally looking for successful white men. The black people I know who grow up in decent households usually have a black mother and a white father. I know people get upset with me for really mentioning this.
But people have no clue how limited the options are for a black male who isn't some sort of thug, or a charity case for women. The OP may luck up, anything is possible. But for the most part, you're not going to find much of the following 3 in Seattle.

People are simply intimidated. The only black people I've seen do well in Seattle are the following 3. But you talk about a real American black male, eh, you're better off going to Texas where there are more attractive women, and they go for these men like this. Not sure it's entirely racist, or just Seattlites' inability to process anything that's different from them, but it sure is a shame. And I know the white and Asian women won't date black men, and I just think that's outright wrong. It's really too bad Seattle is so sheltered and homogenous in its beliefs. The entire city is missing out on one of the greatest aspects of living in a melting pot, which is to interact with people from all walks of life. Seattlites LIVE together, but they don't experience life together.

Metro Seattle is quite accepting and I haven't encountered any overt racism in the few years I've lived in the area. I think a big reason why the Seattle area is less racist toward blacks is because it does not have a difficult racial history and the resulting ghetto areas that go with it.
Seattle does not have a "ghetto" like the ones you'll see in the east coast or midwest. I used to live in Detroit's suburbs, which were mainly white and asian. However the city itself was nearly all black and was crime-ridden. Everybody knows a story about a someone who was mugged in Detroit, likely by a black male. Plus there were terrible race riots in the city back in the late '60s. Due to all this the metro area was quite segregated.

I'm not saying that overt racism was all over the place but it certainly wasn't as accepting as Seattle.
