It is open year-round and serves all God's children as a ministry of Christian hospitality to religious, educational, and non-profit organizations. The Conference Center is 10 miles north of the John F. Each summer, the conference center hosts many sessions of Family Camp and other year-round retreats.

Each spacious room is equipped with a full bathroom, as well as a second sink located in the tiled entryway and coffee maker. Savor the sunrise from the comfort of your personal deck or from the water's edge during an early morning stroll. All rooms have wireless internet service. Each space is complemented by relaxing and restorative views. The largest indoor space is Fischer Commons.
Many groups prefer a smaller meeting area; there are three available, overlooking the picturesque dunes and blue water of the Gulf.
Mustang island conference center
These small meeting spaces can accommodate up to twelve guests with tables and chairs. More can be accommodated without tables. All rooms have wireless internet connection. Casa de la Playa is a larger room and is available to members of the Diocese of West Texas congregation for an individual spiritual retreat or a couple's spiritual retreat. Enjoy your view of sunrises over the Gulf of Mexico from your room or while sitting on your private deck.

While on retreat, you prepare your own meals or enjoy dining in Port Aransas. Those staying in Casa de la Playa do not other guests for meals or activities. Settle into one of the many outdoor sitting areas to visit with friends or to enjoy a good book Bring that book from your nightstand that you haven't had time to finish or select an excellent title, magazine, or other reading material from our bookshelf.
At day's end, other guests on the deck to witness the glorious sunset. Follow the boardwalk through the natural, barrier island dunes to our quiet, expansive, and well-maintained beach.
Staff will set up complimentary beach umbrellas, at your request. Take a nap or read a book as you listen to the ocean and enjoy the fresh breeze. We offer a campfire area for your enjoyment and will provide everything you need to experience sunset and s'mores on the beach.
Spend meaningful time with your family at the beach! Each family stays in a beautifully furnished room with a private deck and view of the Gulf of Mexico. The program begins on a Thursday afternoon and continues through Sunday morning Eucharist. Families plan and participate each day in worship with great music and hear a Biblically based teaching.
An Episcopal priest serves as chaplain for each session and officiates at the closing worship service.

We would never turn a potential family away due to their financial situation. We encourage all parents to talk with the rector of their church about attending Mustang Island Conference Center and explore ways that their church might help. The parents, priest, or youth minister may contact the Episcopal Diocese of West Texas about upcoming camp scholarships. In order to confirm your registration, the site will require a deposit payment. This deposit will count towards the family portion of your registration fee.
If you need assistance with this amount, please contact the Office Manager, at lynn. Registration is not confirmed until the deposit has been taken care of. Even if all registration forms are complete, your family will not show up on the session roster until you speak with an administrator or pay the deposit.
Decide together whether you or the church will submit completed form to the camp office. If you do not attend an Episcopal church or would like to request a different scholarship arrangement, contact the camp office directly. Please complete one form for each family.

Before you begin the application, choose three references who are not related to you and have their phone s and addresses ready to enter as part of the application process. All applicants are considered for positions with the Episcopal Diocese of West Texas and by extension Mustang Island Conference Center without regard to race, religion, color, gender, national origin, age, marital status, veteran status, disability, or any other legally protected status. We never want financial need to prevent a camper or family from participating in our programming.
Each year one-third of all campers rely on partial or full scholarship assistance to attend. The Camp Scholarship Fund is raised through various donors and fundraising efforts. The expectation is that the camper's home church will pay another third, and the family will pay the remaining balance. Exceptions based on hardship will be considered on a case-by-case basis.

Sensitive information such as credit card or checking information submitted via the website is automatically encrypted. Mustang Island Conference Center personnel are not able to retrieve this information.
This information is not shared with any other party. We do everything in our power to protect off-line user information in our offices. Only authorized employees trained to handle information properly are permitted access to personal information. These employees are subject to Diocese of West Texas guidelines in the handling of personal information.
For purposes of camp management, we may disclose general information within the camp community such as the name, phoneaddress, and address of campers. This allows our camp community to remain in contact with one another, continuing the relationships built at camp. We may be required to disclose information during the investigation of fraud or illegal activity.
For example, we may disclose personal information in response to a subpoena, warrant, court order, or other legal process. All registrations for Mustang Island Family Camp and other camp programs take place online, through Ultracamp, our registration website.

If your family will need to arrive after dinner, call the office for self check-in instructions. Mustang Island Conference Center will hold lost and found items for 30 days after the final summer session; then all unclaimed items will be donated to a local shelter. The Conference Center is not responsible for items left behind.
