The Department of Public Works oversees the sanitary sewers and refuse collection in the Village. The Village has over 7. The Village also owns and maintains one lift station.
All the sewage in the sewer lines travels to Northern Moraine Utility in Glenbeulah where it is treated. The Village owns a two-thirds stake in Northern Moraine Utility.
Sewer is billed quarterly with the water. The bills are mailed on approximately the 15th of January, April, July, and October.

Advanced Disposal collects approximately tons of garbage and tons of recycling from the Village annually.
Pickup day for the Village is Monday, unless a holiday falls on a Monday, then pickup day is Tuesday. Please have your garbage and recyclable containers curbside prior to am. The containers must be removed from curbside no later than am on the day after collection.
