This is so depressing. I am a 36 year old women and currently live in NYC, home of the one night stand.
I was actively looking for work in Raleigh Durham. This makes me want to reconsider If you are a single female over 30 in the Triangle you will definitely have difficulty finding quality men to date.
Not great odds. The Triangle is geared toward college students and families. You would be better off moving to a cosmopolitan city like Dallas or Denver. Don't be discouraged. It's not a matter of the area you live in as much as the fact that dating options in general dwindle drastically after 30, no matter where you live.
Search for local single 50+ women in raleigh
I say live where you want to live, or NEED to live if it's work that you're seeking. If you get yourself out there and let yourself stay open to meeting peopleit will happen. Also, as many have said- try internet dating sites. No shame there in this day and age.
I have dated many men from dating sites, although not in Raleigh yet and no, haven't found a "keeper" yet either, but really-- my heart's just not been in it. Been more focused on raising my. The Triangle area as a whole is big enough that there will be plenty of eligible men for dating. And as far as D. If you're into men who are VERY into themselves go for it.
Otherwise, steer clear! I hate to generalize, but I'll do it all the same but basically, the most pompous people on the planet reside there. I am sorry some women feel so discouraged in this area! All I can suggest is being an outgoing person and having a positive attitude.

Some of the nicest guys I've dated have been fellas I've just struck up conversations with out and about town. If, like me, all your hobbies are female-centric and you are a little shy it will be harder to meet a man the typical way.
So I went about it the new way and used online dating.
If you aren't afraid of that you will have no problem meeting lots of great and some not so great, you have to weed out the bad ones men. I met my boyfriend online and although we work right down the street from one another we probably would have never run into each other.
